Chipboard meets Canvas

Hi creative people, Sharmaine here to share a canvas that I made using a bunch of X-Press It products.

Canvas for X-Press It

Products Used:
X-Press It Canvas
FabScraps "Retro Twist" paper
FabScraps chipboard word
FabScraps “Retro Twist”Ticket album
Chromacryl paints
Atelier paint
X-Press It Triple Tac glue
CKS Retractable Knife
Hazel & Ruby Pass the Tissue

The inspiration behind the canvas was the gorgeous butterfly from the cover of the chipboard album.

Using the retractable knife I removed the butterfly from the cover.

Then using some Chromacryl paint I altered the butterfly.

Next I got to work on the canvas, covering it with some watered down Atelier Pthalo Green.

Then using some Triple Tac glue I coated the canvas.

Then using some FabScraps paper

I transferred the image of the butterflies onto the canvas.
(You can read more about transferring images with Triple Tac HERE)

Once the canvas image was where I wanted it I ripped strips of Hazel & Ruby tissue paper and covered the sides of the canvas.

Next I used the green paint to coat some FabScraps chipboard

I added this, and the butterfly, to the canvas using Triple Tac.

I then covered the edges of the canvas with some black paint.

Then I sealed the canvas, again using the Triple Tac Glue.
